STUDENTS FROM THE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS IN GDAŃSK DESIGNED A LUXURIOUS CABIN FOR THE 70 SUNREEF POWER YACHT.
On Friday, the 9th of May 2014, second-year students of the faculty of Design and the specialization of Architecture of Aquatic Ships from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, presented their projects of polish- style VIP cabins. The idea was inspired by the luxury catamarans that are produced by the Sunreef Yachts company, which has more than 13 years of leadership in creating the most exclusive units from 60 to 200 feet long.
For over two months, during the basic course of yacht technology, under the guidance and supervision of the Sunreef Yachts Designer - MA Marta Kaszuba, young architects prepared their polish- style visions of exclusive cabins for the 70 Sunreef Power yacht. Despite of having the same topic of the project, every student prepared their own original and modern concept.
Before taking up the challenge, the students had the opportunity to visit the Sunreef Yachts shipyard and have a closer look at all of the stages of construction, by visiting several units, including the newly established 70 Sunreef Power yacht. The unit is known of it's elegant shape and impressive living space, which can be designed according to the owners choice. The shipyard is a leader in custom – made individually designed catamarans. So far, the company did not have any orders for polish – style designed interiors, but there is a huge chance that the student's projects will now inspire new clients.
Last month, Sunreef Yachts has signed an official agreement with the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology of the Gdańsk University of Technology, whose main goal is to exchange experiences between the company and the university. Cooperation with students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk proves that the shipyard extremely appreciates it's cooperation with educational institutions.
