Launched in August 2011, the FREESTYLE is the second unit of the new cruising catamaran model Sunreef 58.
The Sunreef 58 was made in response to the many enquiries we get from customers who appreciate Sunreef’s construction quality, customized luxury finish and sailing performance, but who wish to sail in smaller and lighter boats without crew. As the yacht can accommodate a crew cabin, she can also be used for charter.
The yacht was built using vacuum infusion technology and lightweight composite materials used in the aviation and aeronautics industries. The hull and superstructure were designed with a focus on creating a stylish, streamlined profile. The sea hulls use natural wave power for achieving fast speeds. With the mast located on the sun deck, the superstructure (living room) is very spacious and provides panoramic views of the sea. At night, halogen LEDs and underwater lights illuminate the mast and the hulls. The sun deck also houses the main helm, as well as the dining room with comfortable sitting areas and sunbathing mattresses. It is the most pleasant place on the yacht for watching the sea and having delicious meals with family and friends. Soft candle light will not disturb you watching stars in the night sky. The captain also performs sailing manoeuvres from here.
The yacht is laid out in a semi-owner manner, featuring one large owner suite, three double guest cabins and one twin crew cabin. The owner suite is located aft on the port side hull and has independent access directly from the cockpit. The crew cabin is located opposite and has direct access from the outside as well. Guest cabins are comfortably located within hulls and are equipped with en-suite bathrooms. Six wide portlights integrated in hulls allow plenty of sunlight into the guest cabins. The saloon includes the galley, the main helm station and a dining area for eight. Two more dining zones are located in the aft cockpit and on the flybridge. A 40in LCD TV with a DVD player and a Bose hi-fi will entertain guests inside. Storage is also an important element here as the two forpeaks include a washing machine, dryer and some water toys. The total interior living space is 62m
2 (667sqft). The external cockpit is equipped with comfortable sofas, sunbathing mattresses, a dining table, armchairs, and storage compartments for water toys. The fact that the cockpit and the living room are located on the same level and connected with sliding doors enhances the impression of space. The cockpit is on one flush level.
The FREESTYLE’s exterior is impressive with its purple painted hulls that match the modern, minimalist interior design combining purple, black and light beige with high gloss white furniture (dining table, chart table) and carefully selected decorative details. Altogether the interior design evokes stylish modern simplicity and peaceful ambience. The yacht is intended for private use only and will be permanently based in Porto Montenegro, a new superyacht hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
