Sunreef 70 Sailing SISTER
Launched in September 2011, SISTER is the sixth unit of the Sunreef 70 Sailing model introduced to the market in 2008. Her exterior profile by Sunreef’s in-house design team is smooth and elegant while being very aerodynamic and streamlined, with a purpose-built recreation area ideal for holidays with family. Her navy blue hulls and a full teak flush deck are a great combination of luxury and style. This private yacht was sold to an Israeli client. Before arriving at her final destination, Israel, the SISTER will visit Turkey’s southern coast with the owner and his family.
SISTER is laid out in a semi-owner version with the galley down in the starboard hull. Inside the main deck there is a spacious saloon with a dining area for eight, a comfortable three-part sofa and chairs, as well as the internal helm station. Guests can watch movies and play games on a large 40in LCD TV or listen to their favourite music of impeccable quality via a Karman Hardon hi-fi. Wide panoramic windows in the saloon provide beautiful seascape views.
The port side hull features an impressive master suite with a king size bed, a small Pullman bed for the owners’ youngest child, a spacious dressing room in the forward section, a 32in TV and DVD player, a private bathroom with a large shower cabin, and separate toilets. One double guest cabin is located on the aft of this hull as well. The starboard hull comprises two double guest cabins and a fully-equipped galley on the aft. All cabins have private bathrooms and air conditioning. All beds in the guest cabins are positioned transversely to the axis of the boat in front of six large portholes, which illuminate the cabin and allow guests to admire sunrises and sunsets in the privacy of their cabins. This structural element is now integrated to all Sunreef catamarans.
The interior design is dominated by white colour complemented by light, natural colours such as cream, beige and light grey. All the upholstery is finished in natural linen, with beige in the saloon and light grey in the cabins. The floor and table tops are finished in teak to create a visual harmony with the deck outside. As always, the interior design was created in close cooperation between the owners and the Sunreef in-house design team. The aft cockpit is an ideal place to escape the sun and rest in shade. It features a dining area for eight, a handy wet bar with a fridge, ice maker and sink, sun pads, and storage for water toys and provisioning. There is direct access to the flybridge, which includes the main helm station, and another dining area with sofas and sun pads finished in a delicate shade of cream.
Altogether the yacht has three comfortable dining areas which rival some large superyachts. In the front section there is a huge storage room for water toys and playing nets, very much appreciated by children. The yacht is equipped with one thermal camera on the mast and one underwater camera aft on the port side hull.
