IMPRESSIVE PROGRESS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW 2012 PREMIERE MODELS

A world leader in the design and construction of custom-made luxury catamarans, Sunreef Yachts has always been a trendsetter in its sector. The shipyard is famous for its innovative projects and original in-house engineering solutions.

In 2012 the shipyard will introduce two new yacht models: the Sunreef 82 Double Deck and the 60 Sunreef Power will premiere at the prestigious Cannes International Boat Show held in September.

The hulls and wet deck of the Sunreef 82 are currently in a single piece, and most of the bulkheads have been installed. The fuel tanks have been places within the hulls. The installation of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems hidden in the floors is scheduled next, with the installation of the bathroom units and engines intended as the next step. The delivery of the CNC-cut flybridge mould is scheduled for the coming week, with the infusion of the flybridge and its addition to the wet deck planned for early April 2012. The yacht should be ready to leave the shipyard in July 2012.

The 60 Sunreef Power’s wet deck and hulls have been infused and are now assembled into a single unit. All bulkheads have been installed, and the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems are currently being mounted. The installation of all bathroom units and floors is due to start this week. Custom-made furniture is also currently being tailored at Sunreef’s in-house carpentry and upholstery departments. The engines are scheduled to be mounted next week, while the engine rooms will be fitted out by the end of March. The yacht is due for launch in July 2012.
